Indie Theatrical-Folk singer-songwriter Hameer Zawawi hails from the vibrant-multicultural city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His songs are mainly inspired by video games, featuring fantasy-like lyrics and epic melodies that depict vast worlds and environments seen within the confines of his small bedroom and backyard.

Cambodia here I come! This JUNE I'll be touring with shows in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Kampot. There will be bonus screenings of the Deaf Ears music video in selected cities.

A HUMONGOUS HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my father, the #OG Zawawi! The original #singersongwriter in the household who's passion and dedication to his work and family remains as his main priorities till today. Thank you so so much for being one of two (the other being mum) main pillars of support to myself and the siblings. You have been the most grounded yet progressive, contemporary yet cultural, anthropological yet lame-joke-heavy dad anyone could have. I definitely inherited that last bit the most. When it comes to music I often forget how much you've influenced me subconsciously. People tend to tell me that my music's epic and progressive as heck but little do they know how much more epic and progressive my dad's music was in his time.
